The construction sector is dynamic and complex. Because of the high level of interaction between professionals of different areas – architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.  – several disagreements or disputes can occur during the execution of a contract. Those disputes can pollute the relationships between the parties and severly compromise the execution, with a tremendous financial impact.

Convirgente is the country representative for Portugal of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, an international institution created to promote the concept of "dispute board". A "dispute board" is a commitee of independant professionals created since the start of the project to:

• Follow the evolution of the project
• Stimulate the adoption of conflict prevention behaviors and processes
• Anticipate and resolve any conflict if it occurs in spite of the prevention mechanisms
